In a rather modern day, Japanese-like setting, there is a academy specialized for those who have been gifted with a Spirit Animal.
At birth, those who have the animal within are born with two different eye colors. Once they reach the age of 18, a test is able to bring out their animal; so that the student and the beast may further their relationship. Once they come face-to-face with their animal, their eyes return to one solid color.
The bond between student and Spirit Animal transcends many levels. You are able to communicate via telepathy with your animal, and whatever pain the either of you experience, you both feel it. If you die, your spirit animal will die; and vice versa.
Many people of this time find these specially gifted people dangerous, due to the fact that the school trains them to battle correctly alongside their animal.
The training for battle is a necessity. There have been many sightings of unearthly spirit animals, unknown to the average eyes, used for evil and destruction; just out of sight.
The headmaster of this academy is very adamant with the student's training, and at times can be very vigorous.
Despite the peril of battling, the bond many share with their animal is too precious to give up, making even the tiniest of warriors fight.
Regardless of what you've heard, the darkened spirits must be vanquished from these spiritual lands before they begin to corrupt the divine spirits; which would surely end in an all-out war between Spirit Animals, and their companions.
And that is exactly what this school is for!

Alright, kiddies! The jist is simple. We'll all undergo a "test" in our class, discover our animals, then begin training. Dorms fit 4 to a room, sign up for your partners.
This is modern, but not TOO modern. No crazy phones and airplanes and shit, just simple country-side Japan based RP.
Each post should be between 4-6 sentences, NO LESS!
No one is to have the same spirit animal. Those with weak spirit animals are generally the ones who study herbalism for healing. (Mice, small birds, deer, etc)
I want a lot of romance/drama and shit, make it a juicy RP!
Like the last RP, copy and paste the form below to create your character. A minimum of 3 characters per person, so we can keep it focused and solid!
There are "Dark Spirit", which are corrupted animal spirits that have left their partner through darkness, and like to reek havoc on citizens. They are often nocturnal, and will generally will only attack one or two humans at a time. They choose to let humans see them, and only normally do so when they are about to make their kill. Their own companions are unknown, and cannot be found.
If the darkness spreads into the lands of the school, your spirit animal can go wild and attempt to leave! Therefore; your OC is pretty pumped to fight the evil spirits!

Name: Ariel Lockheart (Ari) Age: 18 Gender: Female Sexuality: Bisexual Animal Spirit: Lion (Straight up LION, not a female lion!) Description:  Personality: At times Ari can appear quite docile, and on the lazy side. She loves to be out in the sun, despite her pale complexion. She is generally friendly and obnoxiously open about her personal boundaries. Regardless of her somewhat calm nature, the girl is quite the feisty fighter. She is loyal to those she respects, and would die before letting a friend get harmed. Ari is the epitome of courage; even when she should turn and run. Her hard head and "Never back down" nature is what people admire most about her, though it also one of her greatest downfalls.. Special Skills(?): Her weapon of choice is brass-knuckles with genuine claws attached at the ends. She is very acrobatic, though relies more on brute force and power. Other: She leans heavily toward women; but she isn't scared of men! 
Name: Maribelle Cross (Mari/Belle) Age: 18 Gender: Female Sexuality: Lesbian Animal Spirit: Doe Description:  (She wears the herbs she grows, often!) Personality: Maribelle is quite the soft-spoken individual, and at times can be quite dull. Despite these attributes, she is one of the best friends you can have by your side. She is always the one to make sure you've had your dinner and have healed all your wounds; very motherly, in other's opinions. Although she is very timid at times, she is not afraid to let you have a piece of her mind; especially if you are imposing on another person's personal space. Special Skills(?): She is fond of battling with hand-to-hand combat, attacking pressure points and immobilizing her enemies without permanent damage, but is generally always running about tending to wounds. Other: She may seem very shy and the least of your worries.. But she knows the human/animal body better than most, and can drop you in a heartbeat if she gets close enough! She tends to her own personal garden, growing healing herbs and beautiful flowers.

She listens to her music, doodles on anything in front of her, whatever to keep her busy. She doesn't like people, getting a sudden fill of rage when someone speaks to her and is ready to break them in half. She's learned to control her urge to attack people by simply not being social. On a good day she'll give you a smart remark or two and be done but on better days, and if she feels she could possibly use you or be attracted to you, she's not so bad. Her attitude is what gets her in a lot of trouble and someone else in the ER. Special Skills(?): (( Example is they fight with weapons, knuckles, poisons, etc. Generally retains to their animals! Ari pushed forward, her slanted eyes narrowed as she scanned the crowd. She was one in a room of about twenty or so students; all supposedly gifted with a Spirit Animal inside of them. Her stomach tightened as she braced herself against the brick wall, checking out the paper stuck to the wall for dorm-mates. "Four Students Per Room", the bold words above the list caught her eye, and she sighed. Of course she was excited to make new friends, but the girl still pondered about what type of animal her roommates could be.
Their testing had been trying and oddly peaceful at the same time. Each student had been hooked up onto a machine and pulsed with several electronic waves. Within several heartbeats she felt her Spirit Animal enter the cavity of her mind; a fearsome Lion roaring loud and clear. Now, Ari traced the tattoo along her wrist; a lion wrapped around her forearm. Each student was given a type of communication with their animal, and Ari's had shown up on it's own. A mystery for the school, though not totally uncommon.
Now, it was time to sign up for their roommates, and explore the school before the following day; when classes would begin. No one would be able/permitted to summon their animal on the first day, seeing as many would not know how to truly bring them into the land of the living.
The blonde shrugged away her discomfort, a smile planting itself onto her face as she kept a watchful eye out for any potential roommates.
-Maribelle-
Maribelle whimpered, not too far from the roommate listing; she was already having a break down. The petite girl had been given the Doe as her Spirit Animal, which had matched her so well she had begin to cry during the testing. She tightened her grip on her arm, the comforting feeling of her Spirit Animal speaking to her for the first time, fresh in her mind. "No need to worry, child," the Doe had crooned, the smell of wild grass and flowers filling her senses. "All will be well." And suddenly, whoosh, the comfort was gone and she was ushered into a room with the rest of the confused students.
She wasn't quite sure how to go about talking to anyone, especially since Medical-spirits were so rare; she felt terribly alone. Despite her loneliness, adrenaline was holding her head high, her blonde braided pigtails framing her beautiful face. She truly could not wait to start training, and hopefully make life-long friends. Maribelle was so excited, she covered her pink lips as a giggle escaped her, the joy bubbling over as she waited by the list.

Ramona---
Ramona walked with heavy steps towards the sign-up for dorm mates. Her eyebrows were furrowed together and she popped her gum softly, her hands clenching into fists. She was furious with her results. A hippopotamus? What kind of bullshit is this? She thought to herself, making her even more frustrated. First her thighs were thick enough to hug each other and now she can tell people her spirit animal was none other than a hippo. She put her earphones over her ears blaring some head smashing, fist swinging song as she approached the others towards the front. Four people to a room? You gotta be kidding me! She wasn't having a very well time so far. Her lungs filled with air as she took a deep breath, trying her best to be cool. She flicked her green eyes around the crowd, who was she gonna be dorm buddies with?
Vivi---
Vivi ran excitedly towards the huge crowd, ready to make some dorm friends and socialize like the butterfly she was. Her results weren't very impressive to her but not the worst. A black bear! That explains her love for salmon! Her spirit animal loves it too! She giggled to herself and surfed the crowd with her eyes. Who was going to be rooming with her? Her long brunette hair was laced in colorful flowers and the smell of her honeysuckle perfume made her mood even lighter. She wandered what her new friends would be like and if they could all hang out and get pizza together. The thought of hanging out with people and getting know a person in detail made her feel warm and jittery. She couldn't contain her excitement like a fat kid in a candy store!
OOC: they didn't know their spirit animal until after the testing right? If this isn't right i'm an idiot xD

Kozakura
The pink/purple haired girl walked down the halls in her Japanese school outfit on. It was normal, a white button up, blue jacket, red bow at her throat, blue skirt, white socks and black shoes. In her hands was a thin black case consisting of her books, paper and a single pencil case. She didn't have much. She also had a bag at her side,wrapping around her left shoulder. She kept her lunch in it. She was pretty happy about her spirit animal, however she already new it. She looked bland on the outside, but her inside came out in the form of a belt wrapped around her thigh and holding a squid in a tiny jar on it. She walked down the hall, wondering what her roommates would be like. Sadly instead of three others, she was placed with four others, making the room five because she didn't get there earlier. She was the odd man out and had to be placed in a dorm with other kids. She thought of the sleeping arrangements, shed probably be stuck with sleeping on the floor.

-Teacher Figure Thing-
A remarkably bird-like woman took the center of the room, clearing her throat loudly; the air of authority almost tangible. "Attention, students," she cawed, her eyes razors as she scanned the crowd of twenty or so new Spirit wielders. "I will now call out your dorm-mates, and then post them onto the wall; for any of you with trouble hearing." the woman went on, tart and poised. She cleared her throat, eyeing the paper in front of her. She went on to list several names, many of the students answering with hoops and hollers, and some with very begrudging sighs. Lastly, she continued; "For room 3A, with the exception of five students, due to our odd numbers, will be; Ariel Lockheart, Ramona, Maribelle Cross, Vivi, and Kozakura. If you have any questions on the matter of roommates, please head to the front office. You are expected to settle into your dorms within the hour, and then you are free to explore the campus grounds until nightfall. Tomorrow, classes begin." With that said, the woman pinned the paper on the board in front of her, each name saying the animal of the student, and a small image to help them locate one another.
-Ariel-
Ariel's tattoo burned at the sight of the woman, her feathery hair and hawk-like eyes a dead give away to the bird of prey that happened to be her Spirit Animal. The lion within was hungry for a tiny bird such as herself. She knew that would be a side-effect of having such a large, royal-like predator as her Spirit Animal. It would be part of her training to tame the feelings of the wild, and learn to understand one another. Ari bit at her lip, pushing down the primal instincts within her and plastered a smile on her face as her eyes scanned the area. She eyed the four images of the girls that would be her roommates. Squid, Doe, Black Bear, Hippopotamus. They were all female, and all very cute. Ari tossled the mop of hair she sported, her crystal-eyes darkening as she traced the outlining of her lips; unaware of her doing so. It would definitely be an experience, having all girls, with such diverse animals.. The lion-girl grinned, waiting for her roommates to gather.
-Maribelle-
Maribelle's heart leaped at the one called Ariel. She was a doe, and her roommate was a lion! Not to mention the one called Vivi; a Black Bear! Though no student would eat another in their animal form, it was common for certain animal instincts to take over; causing a lot of fighting among oddly paired students. She calmed her nerves, sniffing at the flowers she wore around her neck. Such a calming scent, reminding her of her spirit animal. They'd only spoken for a short time, yet she already knew her destiny with healing and calming others would be perfect. Taking a deep breath, the fair-haired girl inched closer to Ari, making quick eye-contact as she searched among the crowd for the other three members. The suitcase she was carrying was beginning to weigh her down, she felt sluggish and scared; however hard she tried to push the feelings down. With the thought of feelings, a bright blush seeped it's way across the girl's face. "A room full of girls!" She crooned inwardly, a smile tugging at her lips. As a proud lesbian, she was growing to like her situation more and more, despite her timid nature.

Ramona---
Ramona stood with her arms crossed as she listened to the bird woman and when her dorm mates were called out she chewed her bottom lip. She read over the list of people once again and whistled quietly. She met Vivi for a moment, once, the dumb girl was nothing of importance to her. Ariel was pretty and easy to distinguish from the rest. Her dominance as a lion shone in her crystal eyes and Ramona took note of this. Kozakura was a strange one. Kozakura had the only water spirit animal of the group. An interesting mix of people, all of different personalities and a weird combination. Ramona was having one of those rare moments where she was eager to meet the new people. Maybe it was because her attraction to many of the girls was strong? She yawned and wiped the stray tear from her green eye as she approached Ari. "Ariel, right? I'm Ramona." She spoke to Ari quickly and crossed her arms under her chest, still chewing her gum in a nervous tick. The gum had lost its flavor long before and began to grow mushy in her mouth but the gum was the only thing keeping her collected.
Vivi---
Vivi frowned at the mention of strong spirit animals being her dorm mates. A lion, hippopotamus.... was a squid a very strong animal spirit? She thought of a tiny little squid swimming around and giggled to herself. The squid was probably a lot more than that but she never knew with some people. The girl named Maribelle caught her attention. Her animal was a doe, so she figured if any quarrels broke out among the others she would be the peacemaker.... or at least hide and protect herself. Was a hippopotamus mean? She was sure they were laid back, right? She wasn't sure, she never really thought knowing anything about a hippo would be handy. She didn't want to ponder too much over the people and their spirit animals and cause them to wait on her so she took in a sharp breath, making her way over to her group.

Kozakura
She grabbed her bags and headed to her room, wanting to break free from the crowd, god she was thirsty. She opened her water bottle and drank heavily, some water running down her chin. Water droplets glided down her neck. She lowered the bottle and screwed on the cap. Where were her new roommates? She could remember all, she was sure one was a Deer and one a Bear.

Ariel raised her finger, smiling at her pink-haired roommate. "Call me Ari," the woman breathed, taking in the girl called Ramona. "Nice to meet you though." Ari went on, glancing over her shoulder as she watched their Squid-friend make her way up to their room. "I guess some people aren't that into mingling." She shrugged before picking up Maribelle's suitcase. The tiny girl was struggling too hard for her to just ignore it. She looked up, heaving the suitcase over her shoulder with her own in the opposite hand; her strength apparent in this tiny action. She laid her eyes on Vivi and flashed another smile. "I think we're all ready to follow our little tentacle-buddy." Ari said as she watched Vivi walk up, waving a greeting before following close behind the trail of Kozakura.
Once she made it to the room, a few flights up above the rest, she dropped the luggage in the middle of the floor; flopping down lazily on the nearest bottom bunk.
-Maribelle-
Maribelle smiled nervously at Vivi as she came up, only to jump when Ari picked up her suitcase. "Thank you!" she peeped as Ramona came along, all so tall compared to her. Still, they seemed to be very nice and polite. She relaxed, playing with one of her braids as she followed closely behind the rest as they made it to the room; 3A. Third floor, balcony view. As she stepped into the room, she caught sight of Kozakura sipping a water bottle. Typical for a squid. The lion-girl, much to the nature of things, was already trying to find a resting place. Though she wanted to introduce herself to the the aquatic one, she hung back, unsure of how welcoming she'd truly be.

Ramona~
Ramona nodded and followed Ari to their room. The room was nicer than she thought and as long as she had a top bunk she was happy. She climbed to the top of Ari's bed and swung her legs over the left side railing as she dug thru her small bag. She was already making herself at home putting some of her mini posters on the wall, a roll of tape among her stuff to hang up it up. She whistled to herself as she made her place more comfortable, her earphones blasting her favorite music. "As long as none of you snore, I can make this work." She said, not looking to the others for their reactions or turning down her music to hear any responses. She talked as if she didn't have music so loud it could make her deaf. She was accustomed to having the music loud enough to drown out noise and at the time being, she wasn't ready to hear anyone's mouth. Finishing her small decoration process, she swung her legs around and laid back on the bed, removing the top she had on. She preferred to sleep in little to nothing clothing. Though her body image bothered her, she wasn't going to be phased by the others. This was her bunk to do as she pleases.
Vivi~
Vivi was quiet the whole few minutes it took to get to their room and when they made it, she was unsure of herself. She stood in the doorway, glancing at lion girl who had made herself comfortable then the girl who climbed to the second bunk. She didn't want to take a bed that someone else wanted, she wasn't picky on where she slept! She clutched her things tightly and instead went to investigate around the room a little to look busy. The balcony view was amazing, something she knew she was going to enjoy. "So how long do we have to get settled in?" She asked conversationally to no one in-particular, hoping someone heard her so she didn't look dumb.

Kozakura
Kozakura looked around the room, seeing people pick their beds. She pulled back the curtains, looking for a source of water. She looked around and spotted the tiny room connected to the bedroom. Her heart fluttered. "does anyone have to pee?" she asks, getting excited. After everyone said no, she dropped her bags and went to the bathroom. She closes the door, undresses to nothing and starts a bath. She gets in carefully and sleeps, floating there happily. Pink curls floated in the water as she slowly moved up and down in the water.

Ari eyed Kozakura as she claimed the bathroom. The girl sat up, her tossled hair a continued mess. "Hey, Squid!" she called into the bathroom, not yet moving from her bed. "It'd be nice if you tried to talk to us before hiding in the bathroom." she went on, fuming lightly. "We only have today to explore the campus without classes," Ari went on, gazing at the other three girls around her. "We've got a few hours to explore. I feel like we definitely should," the lion-girl smiled, an amused light twinkling behind her eyes. "We'll get to know each other a lot faster." She said, a slight edge to her husky voice. Of course she was excited to be surrounded by these pretty girls, why wouldn't she?
-Maribelle-
Maribelle blushed at the thought of the squid-girl in the bath, and how she wouldn't turn down joining her. She'd be able to lay several petals down, such sweet smelling flowers.. The blonde sighed, a gentle smile playing on her rosy lips. She tugged at her braids, undoing each section and letting her silky hair fall free around her slender shoulders and perfectly framed face; her large doe-like eyes trained on her roommates. She already felt so calm and welcomed, only by the short conversations they've had. She turned to Vivi, her head cocked to the side. "You know, I just realized, one of us is going to have to share a bed." Maribelle murmured, counting out the beds and roommates on her ivory fingers.

Vivi~
Vivi shoved Ramona on her bare side, startling her from her day dream and pointing to Ariel and the others. "They want to get to know their room-mate better. Why don't you play along?" She said in a stern, but gentle tone that made Ramona roll her eyes and cut off her music. After catching Ramona's attention she looked to Maribelle. "We could share a bed, if you like?" She replied to the girls statement, her cheeks flushing in a light pink as she spoke. Vivi was worried of having to take out her stuffed animal in front of the others but if Maribelle slept in her bed, she wouldn't have to. A strand of hair was in her face and she pulled it back and under one of her flowers in her hair to keep it in place, moving a little nervously and hoping deep down she wouldn't mind sleeping in the same bed as her.
Ramona~
"Can we get food while we're doing this 'exploring' nonsense?" She asked, hearing her own stomach rumbling at the thought of a taco. Tacos were her favorite and she could eat them for the rest of her life. She sat up in her bunk and dug through her bag for another, light colored shirt. Finally finding a wrinkled, white t-shirt in the bottom of her bag she pulled it on over her head and hopped down from the top bunk. Kozakura was in the bathtub when Ramona stepped into the bathroom and she ignored the naked girl, before taking a long glance at her. She licked her fingers and flattened a few strands of her pink hair, waiting on Ariel to reply to her food question.
